Incentives are based on where you live and which utility company transports your energy. For example, if you are a Pepco Maryland distribution customer, but your energy is supplied by Clean Currents, you qualify!

Q: I did my audit a long time ago. Is it still valid for getting this 50% rebate?
A: You must complete your air sealing and insulation work within 1 year of your audit date. If you wait more than 1 year, then ecobeco needs to come out to re-test your home and update your audit report before you begin the improvements. We charge $100 for an electric home, or $150 for a home that needs combustion safety testing.

The Potomac Edison 2012 Home Performance Program is offering Energy Audits starting at $10 and will synchronize their incentives with the other Maryland utilities, which means 50% up to $2,000 per household. Formal rules have not been announced. Check back later for updates.
Potomac Edison also has an appliance rebate program and an appliance recycling program.

The State of Virginia has taken Federal Stimulus to provide rebates for energy efficiency programs as well as appliance rebates.
The energy efficiency program is expect to end February 17, 2012. Click here for more information.

The District of Columbia has created a "Sustainable Energy Utility" (SEU) to help bring energy-efficiency solutions to District residents.
