Washington, DC (November 1st, 2009) — The Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy has launched its Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Rebate Programs. This program provides a rebate of up to $250 per household for Energy Audits provided by certified auditors such as ecobeco. Virginia home owners can also qualify for a rebate of 20% up to $2,000 per household for the installation of important air sealing and insulation measures, HVAC appliance upgrades, and windows and doors.

In response to this exciting opportunity, ecobeco has introduced our Express Energy Audit for customers who want to get started without taking on a large commitment. Priced at $250, this Energy Audit is FREE AFTER REBATE. For customers interested in our Comprehensive Home Energy Audit, we have lowered our base price to $400, or $150 AFTER REBATE.

ecobeco refers home owners to our trusted contractor partner network who service the Northern Virginia area. We ensure that our partners are, just like ecobeco, certified by the Building Performance Institute. ecobeco will help guide our customers through the rebate application and redemption process.

The Virginia Energy Efficiency Rebate Program uses money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and is set up to distribute $15 million dollars on a first-come-first-served basis. Please see the Virginia DMME Rebate Program Web site for more information on how to obtain your rebates.
